My thoughts

There comes a periods in a man's life when he can't do anything. He is just standing in the middle of nowhere realizing an end to everything and knowing there is nothing he can do. That is the point, that moment is the moment which forces him to see deep inside him and see what he is capable of. See is abilities and his passion of the things he want to achieve in his life. He may smoke, do drugs, and the things like this but they won't help longer. He will eventually have to come up with something. He has been rejected by each and every single person he knows, but according to them it is a lesson for him to learn something. If someone would have known his pain he would never have let this period on his short life.

Life will always go on no matter what, try to differentiate what is right and what is wrong for you. And the day you decided your good and bad is the day you can achieve everything. Forget making more people, there are enough for you to have a good life. Go to them, talk to them, smile with them, cry with them and one day see them die. This is make you happy. That moment you will realize the importance of all those moments that you missed.

A teacher of mine said to me "don't look at me if you don't know the answer" I should have feel ashamed of this remark of my teacher but it was inverse of that. I was feeling proud of myself. Man a teacher has noticed that I am looking at him even if I don't know the answer. Where the hell this came into me from. I can't believe it's me. I agree I can get above him in any sense because he has all the high authorities whereas I have nothing, but somewhere in his heart he will know that he has done wrong to a student of his. Now of anytime during his life, he will realize his mistakes, but that's not what I want. Actually, I really don't care what he thinks of me.

You

The first thing I would like to mention is "You, yourself is responsible for your fate, no one else"

If you search in Google Images section for "career" then in most of the images you will get only a single person, standing alone and deciding which way to go.

And this is the truth that you will have to decide for yourself which way to go. What role does the parents have to play? Brothers? Sisters?

The role of big brother is only to scold on your failure? The role of parents to scold on your failure? Is this so? No this is not. No matter we find example of many many supporting families who guide the person to go for his aim, failure is a part of life and those are the people who know that everyone is responsible for his own life.

While on the other hand there are parents who scold. Stop being afraid of parents, or following other people's opinions. It's your life you will have to get through it, you will have to make your own decisions to get decision making power. And you know what counts in your future life, your decision making power. Start from small decisions like what to eat? what to wear? Then start going for the bigger one like what to do with your life and what is your aim? Are your parents with you? Are they by your side? Seriously it doesn't matter. What matters is that are you determined to get through it and face the consequences.

If you fail then be happy for you follow your own heart not anyone else's.

Education

Have you ever thought why is education so expensive? Why are teachers putting so much high demands for teaching a class? Why every student is running after marks but not gaining intelligence?

A teacher is understood to be one of the respectable person of a society. If you are not treating him with respect then you are doing wrong. Even Islam teaches us to treat a teacher with immense respect. We have so many examples in Islam and our predecessors telling us the status of a teacher. But, does our this Islam asks a teacher to charge 10,000 to 15,000 a month for teaching a single student?

For a school, there is an assembly time, in which there is a famous Dua written by Dr Allama Mohammad Iqbal. I will quote a line of that Dua which says

"Ilm ki shamma se ho mujh ko mohabbat ya rab"

Afghani Street Child

The students are just made to cram this line but not understand this. How will a child love education if you are imposing education on him but not making him love his work. The newly introduced education system lacks vision and direction. Focus is on how to lure out good grades from the students whether it is through screaming over a kid in class or by punishing him harshly over time. Opting the trend of ratta system is destroying the mental power of students. The meaning of education is not learning by fear of getting punished but by knowing that education is necessary for bright future.

Women play very important role in the nourishment of a country. Our leader, the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam always emphasized on the women education. The should stand by men in building nation. The Human Development Report (HDR) listed Pakistan in the category of "low human development" countries with a female literacy rate of 30%. Women now a days in rural areas are still not allowed to leave home and get education.

In private sector, education is far more expensive that is even out of the reach of a labor's son/daughter. Due to lack of facilities by the government parents are helpless to provide their child with better school environment. Government educational institutes are run by government fund which is not provided by the institutes properly because of corruption and millions of children remain uneducated and suffer. In Government schools mostly mediocre and poor class people are seen as they cannot afford private education. For this either government should take control over corrupt working of high authorities in schools or take a look over high fees in private institutions.

One of the drawbacks which Pakistan education is facing is low investment of the public in this sector, which is only 2 to 2.2 % of the total GDP. Although the provincial government has stated to increase this to almost 7 % which would be a live miracle if achieved.

The percentage share of education in Punjab’s overall budget has seen downfall from 26 per cent in 2013-14 to 18.6 per cent in 2016-17

In the end, we should think that are we walking on the footsteps of our ancestors or there is a change, a change that needs to be changed again. Teachers are not the same, education is not the same, system is not the same and thought has been changed. We need to change also.

Being Pakistani

Pakistan has now been on the map of this world for 65 years. It was all due to the efforts of many leaders one of the major personalities were Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It was said by Jinnah that there is no force that can undo Pakistan, is this really so?

We are Pakistani and as a Pakistani we have many responsibilities. Criticizing our own nation and our own people won’t help us, but changing the things will. And remember change always starts from individual level then to national level. We can’t say anyone a rat to this nation if we are our self a rat and by rat means cheating our nation by any means, if it is throwing garbage on the street or doing Millions of corruption.

Socrates was a classical Greek philosopher

Keeping our political leaders and their corruption aside lets talk about Pakistan. We are born in Pakistan and Pakistan starts investing on us from the very first day of our in this world. We start from school, then college and then university and at all these stages we are taking something from our country. If this is all in government institutions then we are taking a whole lot. And then a day comes we are offered a job out of your country, that moment is proud for us. We leave everything behind us and fly to that country. Everything we were taught in our country is being applied abroad. This is not what we are being invested for. Our country needs us and if it is about me then I was born a Pakistani and I will always be a Pakistani no matter what.

Changes always start from individual level and the weakest job we can do staying on our faith according to Hazrat Muhammad SAWW is consider bad deeds as bad deeds from heart.

A few days back I went to market to buy fruits, while I was buying there came a police van and stopped by the stall. The shopkeeper packed a dozen bananas and handed over to the policemen, the policemen took them and went along without paying and the shopkeeper was acting like it is normal. Another day I was burying fruit there came two guys from dolphin squad on their bike. They also bought bananas and even paid for it while I was expecting the same from them (not paying). This made me feel proud from inside. It is not about praising one department and degrading the other but it is about knowing from the heart that what those policemen did was a bad deed.

What is corruption?
Corruption is a form of dishonest or unethical conduct by a person entrusted with a position of authority, often to acquire personal benefit.
As a person everyone has a position of authority and some jobs to do. Some have the responsibility of whole nation; those are the people ruling the country and the other have the responsibility to vote out a true one. Casting a right vote is important, but in Pakistan even casting a vote is more important. We don’t even bother to cast our votes. Supporting the right people and looking into the depth of their reputation is important.

Quaid <3

As an individual, we should look for every little thing you can do to return the favor to our country. Loving the country is not only about Independence Day, it is about 365 days a year. How hard it is to find a garbage can to throw garbage, how hard it is to help a poor, how hard it is to educate a child? We should donate, help, respect, have faith, be disciplined, talk nicely… is this hard?

Thoughtful

My country is my pride and I am not leaving it at any cost. Our Quaid, Muhammd Ali Jinnah could have gotten with everything he had but he fought for his people. He had every luxury in his life. His salary was enough, he had banglows, he was a member of congress, but why did he joined Muslim League? We are surrendering after White People while on the contrary Quaid-e-Azam was against White People. We have to think for the purpose of creation of Pakistan. Today there are nations who are trying to undo Pakistan, it is our duty to stand against them and show them that Quaid was not wrong he was right:

Being a Ravian

GCU Logo. The Emblem.

The kind of feeling you get wearing Red Blazer and this Logo up on front of your heart is, yess, that's the kind of feeling I'm talking about and can not be explained merely in words. Wearing this uniform and walking through the streets with pride, the pride of a Ravian, this can only be understood by a Ravian. People always get tired of wearing a dress code each and every day of a year, but a Ravian never gets tired of this piece of cloth on his body.

Students sunbathing in sun in winter

The centre of the GCU main building is marked with an enormous entrance tower—a most impressive element representing the image of Government College University. This tower can be seen from a long distance and as you start moving closer to it your heartbeat starts rising, getting a feeling that you are studying in one of the finest institutions in the world. This tower is special due to its uniqueness. Sitting in the oval ground in Winter, sunbathing  and looking at this beautiful tower creates a special sensation of being a Ravian.

Chit Chat

The environment you get there is the best thing. Every single face has something hidden in it. There are people from all over Pakistan and everyone has its own special skill. There are toppers, there are students who applied on reserved seats and got selected on the basis of their specialty. Even a disable is selected for the thing he has inside him not what he has physically. And when the thoughts of these people combine they start getting even bigger.

We have also seen people commenting on GCU that there is no study, teaching standard is very low, teachers are not competent etc etc. This may be a thing, but the thing we get from there is far more bigger than the thing we are not getting. And that thing is a beautiful thought. You may not be able to get good marks but you may be able to decide that “Do you really needed marks?” and getting answer to that question is satisfaction.

Those two years of my life were the years I got to know myself. A person who has never been to GCU can never understand what it is like to be there. Sharing in incident here:

I got into conversation with a teacher who was from another institution xyz. He was degrading GCU in front of me. I couldn’t bear that and I argued with him over this for a long length of time. I may not be able to change his thinking but I was able to get the satisfaction that I have played my role of having the blood of a Ravian.

The life at GCU was just memorable. Those were the days one can never forget. In the life after this we will keep on telling the world what a Ravian is.

Thank you GCU for everything :)
